Meet Anna
Welcome to my story.
I am a qualified accredited Macrobiotic Cook and Health Coach.
I have always been interested in health and natural ways to healing. Prior to my training in Macrobiotics and Wholefoods, I studied Biology at University and then worked and qualified as a Management Accountant.
When I first encountered Macrobiotics, I was overcome by most beautiful food and cooking. The essence of eating such pure, whole foods and creating delicious natural flavours felt so right. I enjoyed widening my diet and restocked my kitchen with all manner of whole foods. I began experimenting with recipes and creating a multitude of dishes.
I started feeling nourished. My energy, skin, digestion and infact all my cells thrived on this natural way of eating.
I am passionate about the powerful impacts on health of enjoying natural, wholesome food. The influence of season and the balance of pure ingredients, dishes and cooking styles are central to the art of my menu design. I love creating menus made up of dishes and flavours that harmonise together beautifully bestowing pleasure, vitality and wellness on those enjoying my meals.
I enjoy cultivating peoples’ nourishment, developing their cooking skills and offering an insight into the wisdom of pure foods. I teach wonderful, delicious dishes great to expand health and share the art of balancing menus ideal to enjoy.
I set up Wholefood Harmony in Spring 2009 to share the Eastern wisdom of natural food diets, rich in whole grains, pulses and local, seasonal vegetables with no added fat, sugar or preservatives. Wholefood Harmony embraces whole, natural, vegetarian, vegan and macrobiotic cuisine for the wonderful taste, vibrant energy, complete nutrients and powerful benefits to health. We offer Wholefood Kitchen Workshops, Private Cooking Classes, Bespoke Groups, Food Coaching, Seminars and Gourmet Chef Services.
‘Harmony’ relates to both the balance I love creating on a plate and the balance such meals bestow on the body; driving homeostasis and an inner equilibrium. The name ‘Wholefood Harmony’ also recognises ‘Living Harmony’, the tremendous lifework of my late aunt; Jacqui Beacon, and her partner Dave Gillett, in restoring balance to people and their properties.
My husband; Scott joins me on this adventure to inspire health through delicious, natural cuisine. We invite you to taste this wisdom and wish you vitality, health and nourishment.
- I studied for four years on the professional training course at the International Macrobiotic School. There I trained in wholefoods and natural ways to health for many health conditions. I have wide experience cooking for a great range of people and situations including individuals, families, groups, parties and those with gluten free or other special dietary needs.
